Community Partner Highlight
Sabor Latino Restaurant is the best Latin Cuisine in the Heart of the Ironbound! Inspired by its rich Peruvian culture, the menus showcase the diverse flavors and cooking techniques from generations before its existence. With over 30 microclimates, Peru has a rich variety of homegrown ingredients. It’s no surprise that so many people have travelled to South America’s gastronomic hub, dating back over 500 years to when the Spanish arrived with European ingredients, to the more recent Japanese and Chinese, bringing with them Asian ingredients and cooking techniques, making Peruvian cuisine the ultimate fusion food. The cozy family ran restaurant is a popular place for many locals and out of town visitors. Visit this restaurant and Enjoy a meal with Latin rhythms and delicious food.
Prospanica Student Leader highlights
Students at Berkeley College New York City Campus celebrated the Dominican Independence day on February 27th in style!
On February 27, 1844, the Dominicans declared their independence after more than three hundred years of Spanish rule. José Núñez de Cáceres was the leader of the independence movement who intended to unite with Gran Colombia but Haiti instead annexed them in February 1822. Over the next 72 years they experienced mostly civil wars (financed with loans from European merchants), several failed invasions by its neighbors, Haiti and briefly returned to Spanish colonial status before permanently ousting the Spanish during the Dominican War of Restoration of 1863–1865.

Prospanica has advocated for Hispanic business professionals for 30 years. Since our founding as the National Society of Hispanic MBAs in 1988, we’ve hosted annual career and professional development conferences, connecting thousands of Hispanics to graduate programs, subject matter experts, corporations, and each other. Prospanica has given over $8 million in scholarships for graduate education, and many of those recipients have led our professional chapters and university chapters across the US and Puerto Rico, advancing diversity causes in their own communities. In 2016, as Hispanics continued to occupy a growing portion of the nation’s demographics, we rebranded as Prospanica to broaden our mission to serve all Hispanic professionals.
Thank you to our 2023 Sponsors!
